Meet Brian Anderson, D.O.
First, I am an osteopathic physician, also known as a D.O., which are licensed physicians who, similar to M.D.s, can prescribe medication and perform surgery in all 50 states. D.O.s and M.D.s have similar training requiring four years of study in the basic and clinical sciences, and the successful completion of licensing exams.
However, D.O.’s bring something extra to the practice of medicine. Osteopathic physicians practice a “whole person” approach, treating the entire person rather than just symptoms. Focusing on preventive health care, D.O.s help patients develop attitudes and lifestyles that don’t just fight illness, but help prevent it, too.
I completed my doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine in the Atlanta area at The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Georgia campus in 2005. I developed an interest in musculoskeletal medicine and patient outcomes. During that time I also had the honor of training with Richard Armond, D.O., who in my opinion is one of the top traditional Osteopathic physicians in the world.
I am also board-certified in Emergency Medicine and trained in the New England area during my four year Emergency Medicine residency. I trained at multiple hospitals during my residency including the prestigious Massachusetts General Hospital and The Harvard Associated Boston Children’s Hospital.
I have held numerous certifications including Advanced Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Passed the Neonatal Resuscitation Program, and I am licensed to fully practice medicine in the states of Massachusetts and Florida.
In addition, I was granted member status in 2014 by the American Osteopathic Association Prolotherapy and Regenerative Medicine and have had extensive training in both prolotherapy and Platelet Rich Plasma therapy.
I am thankful for the opportunity to serve those in our community. My practice is committed to educating and providing performance based healthcare to those who wish to go beyond what conventional medicine has to offer. I believe the many patients and healthcare providers recognize the practice limitations that plague many healthcare systems. All too often, insurance restrictions and the mechanization of healthcare delivery system interrupt the sacred patient and physician relationship.
My goal is to share hope and wellness to those who wish to improve the quality of their lives. I am using the most technological advanced testing and equipment along with performance based medicine to assist in delivering this goal. I continue to be inspired daily by my patients and by those that I see in the gym and on the road doing what many would consider “impossible”.
No matter where you are in reaching your own goals, I want to assist you in identifying and making educated decisions regarding your healthcare. I appreciate your support in my own journey to provide a unique, patient centered practice that emphasizes powerful, performance driven healthcare. Because of you, I am able to spread the word regarding personalized healthcare that works and reach those wanting to achieve their personal best.
